Project Mission Statement:
Education through literacy, creative thinking, and activity are essential skills in today’s society that are difficult to hone. Especially in communities that include English language learners, minorities, and immigrants, not having these essential skills can impair their ability to reach their goals of comprehension, confidence, communication, and expression, which are imperative. To combat this issue, Kidzstory aims to provide lessons and workshops aimed at reading, writing, and art in order to help target groups improve their performance in these areas. Through giving access to literary materials such as books, arts and crafts supplies, and providing a safe environment for expression of thoughts, ideas, and perspectives Kidzstory hopes to build on their level of confidence and to provide them with a chance to develop a lifelong desire to learn and grow.
